We are deeply saddened to report that Alexandra passed away on April 30, 2011. Her beautiful spirit will live on forever in our hearts and we have comfort knowing that Alex is in heaven with Jesus. Alex was so brave in her fight of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and her legacy will live on through her foundation... AHHFI. It was Alex's idea to help families whose children are chronically or terminally ill. Please help AHHFI provide for the needs of families who need it most. We love you Alex and we are so blessed to have known you... if only for a little while.

Alexandra's Helping Hands Foundation, Inc.'s mission is to provide peace of mind to parents who are unable to be present with their child during treatments of chronic or terminal illness, major surgeries, and other long-term procedures requiring extended hospital stays.
Many parents face multiple home and work obligations that force one parent to quit working in order to be present with their child at the hospital. Our goal is to help parents by providing caregiver services for children undergoing extensive hospital procedures. This allows parents to provide for the family and gives the child a friendly, familiar face during their hospital stay.
